Last week a mentor said coffee, ice cream, chocolate are the exact taste for everyone. He elaborated to make sure we got the point that there is no ice special cream for billionaires.
What do you think he meant by that?
I have the privilege of coaching some of the most driving individuals in the world and one of the things I find myself having to do quite often is SLOW THEM DOWN. So often we’re so focused on what’s next, what’s bigger, how to optimize, etc etc we forget to enjoy life and the journey along the way. When I heard my mentor say, “there is no special ice cream for billionaires” the first thing I thought was he’s telling us we need to slow down to enjoy and appreciate the things we have in our life right now. Ice cream doesn’t get any better with a billion in assets so enjoy it along the way. Beaches aren’t any nicer when you have a billion so enjoy them now. I could keep going but I’m sure you get the point.
Being driven is an incredible gift but don’t forget to enjoy life along the way.
