The real estate world around us is changing rapidly. This isn’t a good thing, or a bad thing it’s just happening and it’s happening fast. If you’re running a sales organization it’s my suggestion that you make a decision now. Either you’re in, and willing to do whatever it takes to succeed through the changes or you’re out. Once you’ve made the decision it’s time to move on to everyone else in your organization and ask them to decide if they’re willing to do whatever it takes to win. Based on my observation I think some of you may be surprised to see that either you, or those you’re in business with may not be willing to do what it takes to win in the new market. Again, this isn’t good or bad. It just is what it is. Deciding now if you’re willing to do whatever it takes will prevent you from thinking about it when things are hard and you’re tired. The word decide comes from the latin word decidere which roughly means to cut off. In other words, when you decide you “cut off” the possibility of any other outcome. You’ve decided you’re going to win and any other option just isn’t acceptable.  One of two things need to happen very fast in every organization. 1 get everyone’s commitment to do whatever it takes to win or 2 find out who isn’t committed to doing whatever it takes and immediately start looking for people to get into business with that are willing to do whatever it takes. That may sound a bit heartless, and I know it’s easier to say than it is to do however if you keep a peacetime agent in your organization during a wartime market you’re going to get eaten alive.
